Calling all adult learners! “Free” (to enter) awards!
The Department For Education are looking for Tutors that have gone above and beyond the call of duty to be honoured at the Festival of Learning awards 2017! If you’ve had a really great Tutor this year why not nominate them for an award, who’s knows they might actually win. Statistically speaking someone has to.
Anytods if you do fancy nominating a Tutor, please read the info below and then click the link to website at the bottom of the page.
Here comes the science bit:
“Nominate a Tutor We are looking for tutors whose dedication and commitment to learning will inspire those who hear or read their story. We want to hear about inspirational tutors who have supported learners, in a range of contexts, to go on to lead successful and rewarding lives. Tell us about tutors, trainers or teachers who have helped their learners completely transform their lives and the lives of those around them.
By nominating a tutor for an award, you will recognise their valuable contribution to adult learning and the impact they have had on their learners.
Social Impact award For this award, we are looking for examples of tutors who have had an impact on local or online communities or disadvantaged groups through their delivery of adult learning. We also want to hear about people who have mentored or coached colleagues or other adults in their wider community, supporting and empowering them to learn. Tutors who have undertaken community engagement work, been an ambassador for learning or delivered new adult learning opportunities may also be eligible.
For detailed criteria for the Tutor category and Social Impact award, read our guidance notes“
