Have you had Exam Access Arrangements at school? Do you have a Learning Difficulty? Are you struggling with your reading and writing? Do you find Math’s difficult? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, the English and Math’s Extra Team can help.
Who are the English and Math’s Extra Team?
At your first appointment, we will discuss with you what areas you feel you need support with, to improve your skills. We will also carry out a short reading, writing or math’s assessment (as applicable). This will help us decide a starting point, so you can get the most out of your lessons.
How long are these sessions?
Sessions are usually on a One to One basis and booked in for an hour a week. We do not take you out of your lessons. Sessions will run over 10 weeks and you will work on skills to promote independent learning.
Exam Access Arrangements
Exam concessions do not automatically carry over to college from school. Any student requiring exam access arrangements will need to be referred, by their tutor, to English & Math’s Extra for a discussion and/or assessment to establish what concessions are required. If you have any previous paperwork such as a Psychological Report for Dyslexia or previous exam paperwork from school or you have a medical need we will need evidence of this from your Doctor, Clinic or hospital.
