As with any educational trip there is a duty of care, both morally and legally, entrusted to the party leaders, which we take very seriously. We also believe in treating the students in our care with the respect we hope they deserve and therefore allow them to make their own decisions about what to do with their time. With these two factors in mind, we will operate a system of daily ‘check-ins’ that give students the freedom to make the most of their time on the trips, and give us, the party leaders, the reassurance that you are safe and well.
If you are under 18 and your parents are concerned with the level of supervision on the trip then they are more than welcome to contact us so we can discuss this further. However it must be understood that for the majority of the time we are away, you will be unsupervised and you must ultimately take responsibility for your own safety and well being. Students will be given mobile contact details of all party leaders who will be on call 24 hours a day in case of any emergency.
All students will be required to sign a copy of the Code of Conduct for the trip. This details exactly what we will expect of you whilst we are away.
Please complete this form as soon as possible and return it to Learner Services room CG24 @ Filton, room 228 @ Stroud and room G32 @ WISE no later than 11 May 2018.
