Students’ Union

South Gloucestershire & Stroud College values its student voice and this is reflected through the work of the Students’ Union (SU).

The SU is run by students for students.

Your student life starts here!

The SU has a wide range of events that take place throughout the year.

Kicking off the academic year is our Fresher’s Fayre event which takes place at our Stroud and WISE campuses. Here you will find various exhibitors giving information, advice & guidance about volunteering and employment opportunities. You’ll also have a chance to sign up to various clubs and societies, pick up lots of freebies and get involved in fun activities.

Throughout the academic year our Student Representatives run various awareness events including: Children in Need; Macmillan Coffee Morning; Time to Talk; Shrove Tuesday; and Comic Relief.

The SU provides opportunities for student integration and potential career recognition through becoming an elected Student Representative. Elections usually take place in April and it’s a great opportunity for you to have your voice heard.
